LICENSED ASSOCIATE COUNSELOR/ BILINGUAL THERAPIST (SPANISH AND ENGLISH)
(she/her/ella)
Many of us come to therapy with things we’re still trying to understand or find our way through: emotions that feel overwhelming, relationships that are difficult to navigate, ways of coping we may want to change, or experiences that affect us more than we’d like.
Sometimes life feels harder to enjoy without an obvious explanation. I believe deeply in the difference compassion makes when paired with the skills to support progress.
I work with individuals affected by trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, emotional and behavioral difficulties, grief, and concerns involving relationships, identity, self-esteem, or substance use. I also work with challenges related to justice-system involvement or political stress.
I want to understand you as a whole person, rather than just a set of symptoms: how your strengths, experiences, relationships, culture, environment, biology, and larger systems have shaped your life. Together, we’ll explore how your patterns developed, what they may have helped you manage, and whether they’re still working for you.
I strive to approach the heavy parts of therapy with meaningful care and thoughtfulness, making room for gentle honesty, humor, and concrete tools as we build trust and work through familiar responses and difficult experiences. For example, I may ask hard questions, with sensitivity, or offer a different perspective. We’ll talk about what we’re doing and why.
I also value feedback—I want to hear if something isn’t helping or I’ve missed the mark. We’ll adjust together, finding a pace that respects your readiness without losing sight of your progress and goals. Your questions, uncertainty, and the parts of your story still finding their words are welcome here. You don’t have to know where to begin; we can figure that out together.
As an Associate Level Licensed Counselor, I practice under the Clinical Supervision of Laura Churchill, MC, LPC.
Outside of work, I find meaning in art, science, nature, and living in alignment with my values. My favorite days involve exploring, learning, and savoring moments (and favorite foods)—whether in community or on my own. That might mean travel, picnics and strolls, music and movies, museums and local events, DIY projects, or just existing at home.
If you’re curious about working together, I’d love to hear from you. You can book a free 15-minute consultation online so we can talk about what you’re looking for.
I’m glad you’re here.
