FAQs

We recognize that whether you may be new to counseling, or an old pro, you may have a few questions about what to expect.  Here are a few frequently asked questions.  Feel free to contact us with any other questions and we will be happy to answer.

Do you prescribe medications?

No, we are not licensed prescribers.  While we do believe that medications can often be effective in managing symptoms, therapy and nutrition alongside medications are the most effective ways to meet treatment goals.  If needed, we can make referals for psychiatrists and physicans who can evaluate your need for medications.

Will you complete disability paperwork for me?

Per the AZBBHE, we are unable to complete disability paperwork, work/school accommodations or letters for emotional support animals. Please check with the requirements of your disability paperwork and your primary care physician.

How do I choose the right provider?

We know that finding the right fit is half of the battle. At Hope Rebuilt, we aim to provide a diverse range of clinicians that specialize in many areas, utilizing a wide range of treatment interventions. Take a look at Our Team and then click the Schedule Now button to get connected with any provider you would like to schedule a consultation call with. We are committed to making sure you land with the right person for you!

How do I know what I will pay with my insurance benefits?

The best way to get an accurate quote on your insurance benefits and responsibility per session will be to call the Member Services number on the back of your insurance card. Here you can ask for your Outpatient Psychotherapy benefits. Many plans have deductibles that are required to be paid by the member before the plan will pay their percentage. Some plans have copays or co-insurances per session. Ask your member service representative about what you can expect with your plan.

Why should I go to a Therapist?

Everyone has a unique story and along with that, unique struggles.  At Hope Rebuilt, we aim to join you in your story and help you find solutions right where you are at.  Having a good and trusting relationship with your therapist is essential. Some people seek out therapy due to a pressing difficulty they are experiencing or others come to deal with life-long issues. Others come as a commitment to their personal growth and desire to be the best version of themselves. We welcome you, whatever is bringing you in!

How long will I be in treatment?

With solutions always in mind, you may have a short need for services at Hope Rebuilt, or you may need assistance manging a long-term issue.  Treatment is customized for each client and is reflective of your needs, desires and commitment to the process.  Our aim, however, is to teach you to thrive without the need for life-long services with us.

Do you work with children or adolescents?

Yes! Several of our clinicians work with children 6 years and up and/or teen clients. When working with minors, it is important for the parents/guardians to participate in services to create the best treatment outcomes. Please let us know what you and your child’s goals are and we are happy to discuss possible treatment options.

What does it mean if my provider is under Clinical Supervision?

As mandated by the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners, clinicians who have completed their Masters degree are required to then accrue a minimum of 1600 hours of client experience under the direct Clinical Supervision of an Approved Clinical Supervisor. These Clinical Supervisors hold additional years of experience and have received additional training in overseeing your case. They meet weekly with your therapist to review and assist in your treatment as well as sign off on all clinical documentation. Think of it as getting two-therapists-in-one. Our Board Approved Clinical Supervisors are Maraeca Butler, MC, LPC-S and Laura Churchill, MC, LPC-S.

How do I pay for my treatment?

At this time, our providers are contracted with Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Aetna and United Healthcare plans.  Many other insurance companies will allow you to use your "Out of Network" benefits for behavioral health services.  We are happy to give you a super-bill to submit to your insurance company for reinbursement.  Additionally, you can use your flexible spending account (FSA) or health-savings account (HSA).  We accept cash and all major forms of credit card.   Payment is due at the time of service.

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in an insurance plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage, a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges, both orally and in writing or upon request or at the time of scheduling health care services.

How do I know what is the best type of Therapy for me?

Each of our clinicians hold training in particular modalities of therapy. Don’t let all the acronyms confuse you too much, your therapist will talk you through your options and explain the theory and practice behind each. Certain modalities have been studied and are recommended for certain difficulties. For example, Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP) is very effective for OCD and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is proven very effective for PTSD. Ask your provider about which therapy modality will be the best for you.
