What is Intuitive Eating?

Tired of diets and the empty promises they bring? Us too. Intuitive eating is a philosophy that encourages individuals to listen to their body's cues regarding hunger, fullness, and food preferences. Rather than following strict diets or meal plans, intuitive eaters focus on connecting with their body's natural signals to guide their eating habits. This approach promotes a healthy relationship with food, helping individuals to trust their own hunger and fullness cues. By honoring cravings and respecting their body's needs, people who practice intuitive eating can achieve a more balanced and sustainable way of eating. This can lead to improved mental well-being and a greater sense of overall health and satisfaction with one's relationship with food.

What is Health at Every Size™ (HAES)?

Health at Every Size (HAES) is a movement that promotes the idea that health and well-being can be achieved regardless of body size. The focus is on adopting healthy behaviors rather than pursuing a specific number on the scale. HAES encourages individuals to engage in joyful movement, eat intuitively, and take care of their mental health without judgment based on their size. This approach aims to improve overall health outcomes and promote body acceptance and respect for all body types.

What to expect when treating an Eating Disorder?

Eating disorder treatment involves a comprehensive approach tailored to each individual's needs. Our therapists utilize evidence-based techniques such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and EMDR (EMDR) and others to address the complex underlying factors contributing to the eating disorder. In addition to therapy, clients will be refered to nutritional counseling provided by registered dietitians who specialize in eating disorders. They work collaboratively with clients to establish a balanced and sustainable relationship with food. Throughout the treatment process, our team closely monitors clients' progress and adjusts the treatment plan as needed. We also offer support groups and workshops to foster connection and provide additional tools for recovery. Overall, eating disorder treatment at Hope Rebuilt, LLC is aimed at promoting healing, self-discovery, and empowerment for individuals on their journey to recovery.
